About Therapy

Sometimes it is difficult to say what is on your mind or express how you are feeling.

Talking to a trained professional can help to unravel these difficulties and see things a little clearer.

Therapy offers a safe, confidential place to discuss life issues and explore painful, confusing, and uncomfortable experiences without judgement.

I am a humanistic and integrative therapist with a strong foundation in person-centred therapy. As every individual is unique, I like to integrate different therapeutic practices to suit the needs of each individual.

The Highest Form of Human Intelligence is to See Yourself Without Judgement.

My Philosophy

The help I offer is personalised around you and what you would like to achieve. I see every individual as unique as well as the experiences that life has presented.

My values in this work are kindness, compassion, non-judgement, and an appreciation for the courage it takes to change and grow through life’s difficulties.

Therapy is for everyone who is willing to understand themselves and want to make the necessary changes for a more fulfilling life.

Therapy is not about what is wrong with you, it is about what happened to you and how to make sense of your experience.

My work is aimed at building a safe, trustworthy relationship in a non-judgemental and confidential setting where you can explore what matters to you with respect and dignity

Online Therapy in Ireland

Online Counselling from the Comfort of Your Own Home.

Life can be busy, unpredictable, or simply make it difficult to attend appointments in person. Online therapy offers the opportunity to access professional support from the comfort and privacy of your own home, or wherever you feel most at ease.

Whether you are looking for online psychotherapy in Ireland or online counselling from home, therapy through secure video sessions provides a flexible and accessible way to receive support without compromising on the quality of care.

Many people are surprised by how connected and meaningful online therapy can feel. The therapeutic relationship remains at the heart of the work, creating a safe and confidential space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind.

Whether you are balancing work, caring responsibilities, living in a rural area, travelling frequently, or simply prefer the convenience of meeting online, video therapy sessions can be just as supportive and effective as meeting face to face.

Is Online Therapy Right for You?
Online therapy may be suitable if you are experiencing:
Anxiety or stress
Depression or low mood
Grief and loss
Relationship difficulties
Trauma
Low self-esteem
Life transitions
Work-related stress
Personal development

Just like face-to-face therapy, each session is tailored to your individual needs. There is no expectation to have all the answers before you begin. Therapy is simply a space where we can explore your experiences together, at a pace that feels right for you.

Whether you are seeking online psychotherapy in Ireland for ongoing support or are taking the first step towards counselling, sessions are designed to meet you where you are, both emotionally and practically.

All You Will Need Is:
A quiet, private space where you feel comfortable.
A reliable internet connection.
A computer, tablet or smartphone with a camera and microphone.

Sessions are held through a secure video platform and remain confidential, just as they would in person, allowing you to access online counselling from home with confidence and privacy.

Online Counselling in Cork and Across Ireland:
Although I am based in Cork, online counselling allows me to work with clients throughout Ireland. If you are searching for Online Counselling Cork, online sessions offer the same compassionate and professional support without the need to travel. They can also be an ideal option if your schedule, location or personal circumstances make attending in person more difficult.

A Safe Space to Talk:
Sometimes taking the first step is the hardest part. Reaching out for support takes courage, and whether we meet in person or through video therapy sessions, my aim is to provide a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore what matters to you.

If you would like to find out whether online therapy is the right option for you, or if you have questions about online psychotherapy in Ireland, please feel free to get in touch. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have before arranging your first appointment.

Ethics and Standards

I am a Fully Accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and I work to their ethical and professional standards.

This means that my work is professionally supervised to ensure that ethical standards and professional development are maintained.

These Guidelines also protect the rights of my client which include confidentiality that is agreed at the beginning of any course of therapy.

As a client, you are in control of your therapy. Counselling is short term and Psychotherapy is long term. You make the decision to end your sessions at any time.

Health Insurance & Tax Relief

Irish Health Insurers usually cover up to 8 sessions (sometimes more) of Psychotherapy & Counselling per year, once your therapist is registered with IACP, ICP or IAHIP. As I am a fully accredited member of the IACP, you should be able to reclaim some or all of the cost of therapy depending on your specific insurance policy if you are insured with VHI Healthcare, Irish Life Health Insurance or LAYA Healthcare.

Income Tax relief on Counselling & Psychotherapy fees of up to 20% annually is available to all individuals including PAYE employees, the Self Employed and those with other taxable sources of income. This is in the form of qualifying “Health Expenses” as defined in section 469 of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997.
